About the event
In the lead up to the Big Band Through The Ages jazz festival there are multiple concerts to get you ready for the week long extravaganza in August. Due to the popularity of the first Musicals Rediscovered concert, a second show has now been open with special guest artist Luke Berger from the US.
The main inspiration for this concert comes from the long lasting tradition in jazz to take popular music and arrange it in a new exciting manner. Artists such as Miles Davis and Ella Fitzgerald are some of the many well known artists that did this with Broadway songs such as "Summertime" and "My Funny Valentine". To continue this tradition, this concert will feature arrangements of modern musicals such as Wicked and Book of Mormon. In keeping with the theme of the festival, the band for this concert will be comprised of musicians from various ages. Book your tickets now to guarantee a seat!
